Response of People with Experience of Mental Illness (Mar 2003)  
This report is based on 20 key informant interviews and a national survey involving 308 persons, all with experience of mental illness. Among other things, it identifies that considerable numbers reported having noticed or experienced reduced stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness over the last three years in a range of organisations and groups. National surveys to assess advertising impact  
This report provides data from 4 national surveys. The first was a benchmark survey before the advertising began, the second was after the first advertising campaign, the third was following a period of no advertising (undertaken just before the second advertising campaign began) and the fourth was following the second campaign. It includes sections on Maori and Pacific responses. The findings show that public attitudes are improving significantly following each ad campaign. PDF download (2.8mb)
